Understanding AI Brand Creations and Capacity

Marq plans with AI-powered features include an account-level AI Brand Creation capacity tier. This article explains what an AI Brand Creation is, when it is counted, and how account owners can review and manage capacity.

What is a Brand Creation?

A Brand Creation happens when a Marq project is distributed through one of these actions:

Downloading or exporting the project
Printing the project
Publishing the project

A Brand Creation is an event, not a unique project. If the same project is downloaded five times, that activity creates five Brand Creations.

What is an AI Brand Creation?

An AI Brand Creation, or ABC, is a Brand Creation where an AI-powered Marq feature was used at any point during the project's creation.

Every AI Brand Creation is a Brand Creation, but not every Brand Creation is an AI Brand Creation.

AI-powered features that may qualify a project include:

AI Marqet
AI Writing Assistant
Brand Guardian
Other AI-powered features added to Marq in the future

If a template was created using a qualifying AI-powered feature, projects created from that template may also qualify as AI Brand Creations when they are distributed.

How is usage counted?

An ABC is counted when a qualifying project is downloaded, exported, printed, or published. The number of times you use an AI feature while editing does not determine the count.

Example 1: AI is used and the project is downloaded once

You use AI Writing Assistant while creating a project, then download the project once. This counts as one Brand Creation and one AI Brand Creation.

Example 2: The same project is downloaded more than once

You use Brand Guardian on a project, then download that project five times. This counts as five Brand Creations and five AI Brand Creations.

Example 3: AI is used but the project is not distributed

You use an AI-powered feature while editing a project but do not download, export, print, or publish it. This does not create a Brand Creation or an AI Brand Creation.

Example 4: A project does not use an AI-powered feature

You create and download a project without using a qualifying AI-powered feature. This counts as a Brand Creation, but not an AI Brand Creation.

Example 5: A project starts from an AI-assisted template

A template is created using a qualifying AI-powered feature. A user creates a project from that template and downloads it. The download qualifies as an AI Brand Creation.

How does AI Brand Creation capacity work?

AI Brand Creation capacity is managed at the account level. Everyone on the account uses the same capacity tier, and capacity cannot be assigned to individual users.

Your capacity applies to your subscription term. For annual subscriptions, utilization resets at the annual renewal, even if you are billed monthly or quarterly. For month-to-month subscriptions, utilization resets each month.

Unused capacity does not roll over or carry a cash or refund value.

If your account moves to a paid capacity tier, that tier becomes the account's total capacity. It replaces the capacity included with the plan rather than being added on top of it.

How do I view my capacity and usage?

Account owners and users with the appropriate billing permissions can review the account's AI Brand Creation capacity in Marq:

Sign in to Marq.
Open Account Settings.
Select Plan & Billing.
Find the AI Brand Creation (ABC) Capacity Tier section to view your current capacity and subscription period.

The options you see may depend on your account type and permissions. If you cannot access capacity information, contact your account owner or Marq Support.

How do I increase or manage capacity?

Enterprise customers can work with their Marq account team to request additional AI Brand Creation capacity.

Accounts with 5,000 AI Brand Creations of capacity can request additional capacity at any time. Pricing will be quoted when the additional capacity is requested. If capacity is added during the current subscription term, the incremental fee will be prorated for the remainder of the term, and the full upgraded capacity tier will be available immediately.

Is an AI Brand Creation the same as a project?

No. An AI Brand Creation is a distribution event. One project can create multiple ABCs if it is downloaded, exported, printed, or published multiple times.

Does using an AI feature count toward your ABC capacity immediately?

No. The project must also be downloaded, exported, printed, or published before it counts as an ABC.

Can capacity be assigned to individual users?

No. AI Brand Creation capacity is shared across your entire account.

Does unused capacity roll over?

No. Unused capacity does not carry into the next subscription period.
