Installing the Aprimo Integration

Only account owners can install and configure the Aprimo integration. Follow these steps to connect your Aprimo DAM to Marq:

1. Access the App Marketplace

Navigate to the Marq App Marketplace from your account dashboard. Locate and select the Aprimo tile to view the integration details.

2. Install Aprimo

Click the Install Aprimo button at the top of the integration page. A configuration modal will appear.

3. Enter Your Tenant Name

In the configuration modal, enter your Aprimo tenant name. This is the text that appears before aprimo.com or dam.aprimo.com in your Aprimo URL.

Tip: To find your tenant name, open your Aprimo account in a browser and look at the URL. For example, if your URL is yourcompany.dam.aprimo.com, your tenant name is yourcompany.

4 Save and Activate

Click Save to activate Aprimo as an image source for all users working with templates or projects in your Marq account.

Configuring Brand Settings

After installation, customize how your team accesses images through advanced admin settings:

Click on your user profile image in the top right corner
Select Admin Settings from the dropdown menu
Navigate to Brand Management
Scroll to the Brand Restrictions section

Brand Restriction Options

Disable Device Uploads

Prevent users from uploading images from their local devices. When enabled, Aprimo becomes the primary source for brand-approved assets.

Set Default Image Source

Make Aprimo the default image source. When users click to replace an image, the Aprimo connector opens automatically, prioritizing approved assets.

Restrict to Aprimo Only

Limit image sources exclusively to Aprimo. Users can only access images from your connected Aprimo DAM, ensuring complete brand control.

Note: Even if Aprimo is set as the default image source, users can still dismiss the Aprimo modal and access other approved image sources unless you've restricted access to Aprimo only.

How Users Access Aprimo Assets

Once the integration is configured, team members can seamlessly access Aprimo assets directly within the Marq editor:

First-Time Connection

Open any template or project in the Marq editor
Click on an existing image and select Replace, or add a new image
The Aprimo modal will appear (if set as default)
Log in with your Aprimo username and password

User-Based Permissions: Each user logs in with their own Aprimo credentials, ensuring they only see assets they're authorized to access based on your Aprimo sharing settings.

Adding Images to Templates

After the initial login, users can browse and add Aprimo assets in two ways:

For Template Admins: Drag and drop images from Aprimo directly onto the canvas. The image will be placed in the center of the document and can be repositioned and resized as needed.
For End Users: When replacing an existing image, select an asset from Aprimo and click Insert. The new image automatically replaces the selected image while maintaining position and layout.

Can I allow users to access other image sources besides Aprimo?

Yes. You can set Aprimo as the default image source while still allowing users to access other sources, or you can restrict access to Aprimo only. Configure these settings in Admin Settings > Brand Management > Brand Restrictions.

How often do users need to log in to Aprimo?

Users only need to log in once per session. After the initial authentication, the Aprimo connector will automatically load assets without requiring repeated logins.

What happens if my Aprimo tenant name changes?

If your Aprimo tenant name changes, you'll need to update the integration settings. Go to the App Marketplace, select Aprimo, and update the tenant name in the configuration.

Can template admins use Aprimo assets when building templates?

Absolutely! Template admins have full access to drag and drop Aprimo assets directly onto the canvas when building or editing templates. End users can then replace these images with other approved Aprimo assets.

Troubleshooting

Issue: The Aprimo modal isn't appearing when I try to add images.

Solution: Verify that Aprimo is set as the default image source in Admin Settings > Brand Management > Brand Restrictions. If it's not set as default, users will need to manually select Aprimo from the image source options.

Issue: Users can't see certain assets in Aprimo.

Solution: This is likely a permissions issue within Aprimo. Check your Aprimo sharing settings to ensure users have appropriate access to the assets they need. Remember, Marq respects Aprimo's user-based permissions.

Issue: The integration isn't working after installation.

Solution: Double-check that you've entered the correct tenant name. The tenant name should match exactly what appears before aprimo.com or dam.aprimo.com in your Aprimo URL.
